We make nothing until you order it
This is the part most brands cannot claim, and it is the one that matters most.
The jewellery industry’s largest environmental cost is not mining. It is overproduction — thousands of pieces cast on a forecast, shipped to warehouses, discounted, and eventually melted or landfilled because nobody wanted them.
Zanvari keeps no warehouse. When you place an order, a karigar begins. If nobody orders a design, that design is never made. There is no deadstock, no clearance, no destruction of unsold inventory.
A worn piece is restored, not replaced
Rhodium plating wears with years of daily use. Most people treat that as the end of a piece — it looks tired, so they buy another.
We replate any piece we have ever made, free, for as long as you own it. White rhodium, yellow gold, rose gold. Bring it to Saddar or send it to us.
This is not a marketing programme. It is why our pieces last decades instead of seasons, and it is the simplest environmental thing a jeweller can do: keep the object in use.
Silver comes back to us
Silver in Pakistan usually ends its life in a drawer. Nobody will buy it back at a fair price, so it sits.
We will buy any Zanvari piece back, at any time, for 50% of what you paid as exchange credit or 30% in cash. The piece returns to the workshop and re‑enters circulation — reset, reworked, or its silver reclaimed.
Handmade, in one place, by people we know
Every Zanvari piece is made by hand in our Saddar workshop by karigars — artisans, most of whom learned the craft here. There is no factory, no subcontracted production line, no shipping of half‑finished pieces between countries.
Hand fabrication uses less energy than industrial casting at our scale, and it keeps a craft alive that has been practised in this quarter of Karachi since before Partition.
Moissanite, and what it replaces
Our moissanite is grown in a laboratory. It requires no mining, no overburden removal, no tailings.
We are careful about how far we push this claim. Growing moissanite consumes energy. What we can say plainly is that a laboratory‑grown stone displaces the extraction of a mined one, and that D/VVS1 moissanite offers the brilliance people seek from a diamond without that extraction. Every piece arrives with its GRA grading card.
Where we fall short
Our natural gemstones are mined. Ruby, emerald, sapphire, amethyst, topaz, citrine and turquoise come out of the earth. We buy from suppliers we have used for years and we ask where stones come from, but we cannot certify the whole chain, and we will not pretend otherwise.
Our silver is not certified recycled. Our courier network burns fuel. Sustainability is a direction, not a badge, and we would rather tell you where we are on the road than photograph ourselves at the finish line.
What you can do
Buy one piece you will keep, rather than three you will not. Send it back to us when the plating tires. Sell it back to us when you are done with it.
Ask us anything about where a stone came from. We will tell you what we know and admit what we do not.
