The brand
What is Zanvari?
Zanvari is a Pakistani handcrafted jewellery house founded in 1947 in Saddar, Karachi, now in its third generation. We make 925 sterling silver jewellery set with natural gemstones and D/VVS1 moissanite. Every piece is made to order and finished with rhodium or 22k gold plating.
Where are you based?
Our workshop and studio are at Shop No. 5, Gems Jewelers and Trade Centre, Blenken Street, Saddar, Karachi — the same quarter we have worked in since 1947. You are welcome to visit. We deliver across Pakistan and take orders at zanvari.com or on WhatsApp at 0342‑8269771.
Silver and stones
Is your jewellery real silver?
Yes. Every piece is 925 sterling silver — 92.5% pure silver, the international standard for fine jewellery, alloyed with 7.5% copper for strength and stamped with a 925 hallmark.
We never use silver‑plated base metal, stainless steel or imitation alloys.
Will it tarnish, or turn my finger green?
Sterling silver can tarnish over time — that is chemistry, not a defect. Our pieces are rhodium plated, which is a hard white metal barrier that resists tarnish and keeps the silver bright.
Green fingers come from copper in cheap alloys reacting with skin. At 92.5% silver with a rhodium barrier, this is not something our customers report.
Are your gemstones real?
Yes. We use natural ruby, emerald, sapphire, amethyst, topaz, citrine, turquoise and freshwater pearl.
Where a piece uses cubic zirconia or glass, we say so in the product description. We would rather tell you than have you find out.
What is moissanite? Is it fake?
Moissanite is a real gemstone — silicon carbide. It is not a diamond, and it is not an imitation of one. It is its own stone, and it out‑sparkles diamond: more fire, more brilliance.
It scores 9.25 on the Mohs hardness scale, making it one of the hardest gemstones on earth and entirely suitable for daily wear.
Zanvari uses only D/VVS1 moissanite — the highest colour and clarity grade made. Each piece arrives with its GRA grading card.
Is moissanite the same as cubic zirconia?
No, and the difference is large. Cubic zirconia is soft (8.5 Mohs), clouds with wear and holds little value. Moissanite is 9.25 Mohs, holds its brilliance for a lifetime, and is graded by an independent laboratory.
If a piece of ours uses cubic zirconia, the description will say so plainly.
Ordering and delivery
How long will my order take?
Nothing sits in a box waiting. Your piece is made after you order it, so timing depends on the design.
- Simpler pieces: 2 to 3 weeks to your door
- More involved pieces: 3 to 4 weeks
- The most intricate work: 5 to 6 weeks
The crafting time for each piece is stated in its product description. Read it before you order. Full detail on the delivery page.
Can I get it faster?
Yes, on selected pieces. Express crafting is Rs. 700 and dispatches within 6 to 8 working days. The item and delivery charges are paid in advance rather than on delivery.
Message us before you order so we can confirm the workshop can meet your date. If we cannot, we will tell you.
Do you offer cash on delivery?
Yes. We deliver across Pakistan with cash on delivery through PostEx. You will receive a tracking number by WhatsApp when your piece is dispatched, and you can follow it at track.zanvari.com.
How do I find my ring size?
Our rings come in 16MM, 17MM, 18MM and 19MM — that is the inner diameter of the band. Measure a ring you already own across the inside with a millimetre ruler, and that number is your size.
Our ring size guide walks through both methods. If you are unsure, send us a photo of your ring on a ruler and we will confirm before we begin. That check is free, and we would rather do it twice.
Can I have a piece engraved?
Yes, on most pieces. Engraving requires a Rs. 2,000 deposit to begin.
Because an engraved piece is made for one person, exchanging it later carries a Rs. 1,500 charge. Confirm your ring size carefully before ordering an engraved piece.
Exchanges, refunds and care
What if the size is wrong?
We exchange for size within 30 days. Contact us on WhatsApp at 0342‑8269771 and we will arrange it.
If the piece is engraved, a Rs. 1,500 charge applies to the exchange, because the piece must be remade.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. Refunds can be requested within 7 business days, with Rs. 2,000 deducted as a service charge — the work has already been done by hand by the time it reaches you.
If it is only the size that is wrong, an exchange is the better route and you have 30 days for it.
Will you buy a piece back from me later?
Yes. Any Zanvari piece, any time, for as long as we exist: 50% of what you paid as exchange credit, or 30% in cash. Engraved pieces are the exception.
Full terms on the lifetime buy‑back page.
Is the lifetime replating really free?
Yes, forever, at no cost — white rhodium, yellow gold or rose gold. Karachi is humid and life is long; plating wears. Bring the piece to Saddar or send it to us and we will restore it.
This is not a promotion. It has been how we work since 1947.
How should I care for my jewellery?
- Put jewellery on last, after perfume, lotion and hairspray.
- Remove it before swimming, showering or the gym.
- Wipe it with a soft dry cloth after wearing.
- Store pieces separately, away from damp.
When it dulls anyway, that is what the free replating is for.
