Garnet occurs naturally in a palette running from deep pomegranate red through smoky maroon to wine and purplish tones. Its name comes from the Latin granatum, the pomegranate, for the resemblance of its crystals to the fruit's seeds. Across Islamic, South Asian and European tradition it has been worn as a stone of protection, endurance and commitment — carried by travellers as a safeguard on long journeys.

Natural garnets carry inclusions and surface characteristics formed deep in the earth. These are not flaws but nature's fingerprint, confirming the stone is genuine and earth-mined. No two are alike.
