Ring Size Guide

Sizing Guide

Find your ring size

Every Zanvari ring is made to order in Karachi, so the size you choose is the size we build. Five minutes here saves a resize later.

Zanvari rings are sized by inner diameter in millimetres — 16MM, 17MM, 18MM and 19MM. That is the distance straight across the inside of the band. If you know that one number, you know your size.

Our four sizes

16MM≈ US 5½ · UK K½
17MM≈ US 6¾ · UK N
18MM≈ US 7¾ · UK P
19MM≈ US 9 · UK R

Most women in Pakistan fall between 16MM and 17MM. Most men fall between 18MM and 19MM. These are starting points, not rules — measure before you order.

Method one — measure a ring you already own

This is the most reliable method, and the one we recommend.

  1. Choose a ring that fits the finger you have in mind, and that sits comfortably at the end of the day.
  2. Lay it flat on a ruler with millimetre markings.
  3. Measure straight across the inside of the band, from inner edge to inner edge, through the centre.
  4. Round to the nearest whole millimetre. That number is your Zanvari size.

A ring measuring 17mm across the inside opening is a 17MM. There is no conversion to do.

Method two — measure your finger with paper

Use this when you have no ring to copy.

  1. Cut a thin strip of paper, about 6mm wide. Do not use elastic or anything that stretches.
  2. Wrap it around the base of the finger — below the knuckle, snug but not tight.
  3. Mark where the end overlaps, then lay the strip flat and measure the length in millimetres. This is your circumference.
  4. Divide by 3.14 to get your diameter. A 53mm circumference ÷ 3.14 = 16.9mm, so you would order 17MM.

Check the strip slides over your knuckle before you settle on a number. A ring has to pass the knuckle to reach the base of the finger.

Conversion chart

If you already know your size in another system, find it here. The millimetre column is the one that matters when you order.

Inner diameter is measured straight across the inside of the band. Conversions are approximate — systems do not align exactly.

Four things that change the fit

Measure at the end of the day

Fingers are smallest in the morning and largest in the evening. Measure when your hands are warm, not cold, or you will size down by mistake.

When you fall between two sizes, go up

A slightly loose ring is comfortable and easy to remove. A slightly tight one pinches — especially in Karachi humidity, when fingers swell.

Wide bands fit tighter

A broad band covers more of the finger and grips more of it. If your ring has a wide or fully paved band, consider going up.

Knuckles decide the size, not the base

If your knuckle is noticeably larger than the base of your finger, size to the knuckle. A ring that will not pass it is a ring you cannot wear.

Still not sure? Send us a photo.

Place a ring that fits on a ruler, photograph it straight from above so the markings are readable, and send it to us on WhatsApp. We will confirm the size before we begin your piece.

This is free, and we would rather check twice than build once. Every ring is handmade to order at our workshop in Saddar, so the size is set the moment we start.
