The trillion cut — why it is extraordinary

The trillion cut (also called trilliant) is a triangular brilliant — three equal sides, each faceted to return light outward from the stone's centre. Unlike round, oval, or cushion cuts that distribute light evenly across a curved surface, the trillion cut concentrates and directs light toward three distinct points. The effect is sharper and more dramatic: three radiating flashes meeting at a centre of maximum brilliance. At 2 carats, a trillion-cut stone has significant visual presence — its triangular silhouette covers more surface than a round stone of equal weight, and its points extend the pendant's reach in three directions. The infinity loop setting
