The Princess Diana connection
In 1981, Prince Charles proposed to Lady Diana Spencer with a 12-carat oval blue sapphire surrounded by diamonds in a white gold setting. It became the most famous engagement ring in the world — later worn by Princess Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge. The Sapphire Heaven Ring draws directly from this design: an oval natural sapphire, surrounded by brilliant-cut stones, in a timeless halo setting. For buyers in Pakistan who want the elegance of the world's most iconic ring at a fraction of the cost, this is it.
Birthstone and spiritual significance
Sapphire is the birthstone of September and is known in Pakistan as neelam (نیلم). It is said to bring focus, calm, and protection to the wearer — overcoming negative thoughts and promoting well-being and reassurance. It has been treasured across South Asian, Persian, and European cultures for centuries as the stone of royalty, heaven, and divine grace.
Care instructions
Store in an anti-tarnish pouch when not wearing. Avoid contact with perfume, lotion, and hairspray. Wipe gently with a soft microfibre cloth. Zanvari's lifetime replating guarantee covers the rhodium plating for life.
Frequently asked questions
Is this ring inspired by Princess Diana's ring?
Yes. The Sapphire Heaven Ring is directly inspired by Princess Diana's sapphire engagement ring — an oval natural sapphire in a halo setting — which is now worn by Princess Catherine. It is one of Zanvari's most beloved designs and consistently ranks among our top gifts for engagements in Pakistan.
Is the sapphire natural?
Yes. The centre stone is a genuine earth-mined natural blue sapphire. A certificate is available to confirm authenticity. Each stone is between 2 and 3 carats and will vary slightly in shade from light to deep blue.
What are the accent stones?
The stones surrounding the sapphire are moissanite — a genuine gemstone made of silicon carbide, scoring 9.25 on the Mohs hardness scale. Moissanite has more fire and brilliance than diamond and its sparkle is permanent: it will never cloud, dull, or fade with wear. Zanvari uses moissanite for every accent and side stone across the collection.
