This handcrafted ring features a single round natural turquoise (feroza / فیروزہ) — the sky-blue stone worn across Persia and the subcontinent for thousands of years and the birthstone of December — set in solid 925 sterling silver and finished with bright rhodium plating. Turquoise is one of the oldest gems people have ever worn, and its name, feroza, comes from the Persian for victory — it has long been kept close as a stone of protection and good fortune. Every piece of natural turquoise is its own: the shade runs from clear sky blue to soft blue-green, and fine veins of the host rock (the matrix) may show through.
