The stone is genuine earth-mined ruby, and the colour is permanent. Every natural stone is unique: expect slight variation in shade from pinkish-red to deep crimson, and small silk inclusions, which are signs of authenticity.
Care note: Ruby scores 9 on the Mohs scale — second only to diamond and moissanite — so it is very well suited to daily wear. Clean with a soft cloth and mild soapy water. Avoid ultrasonic cleaners if the stone has visible inclusions.
