Ten Carat Reign — 10ct Natural Amethyst Ring in Sterling Silver
Natural Amethyst
Genuine gemstone, not glass or synthetic
925 Sterling Silver
Solid sterling silver, not plated base metal
A ten-carat amethyst does not shout. It glows — the colour of the last ten minutes of a Karachi sunset, held in a ring.
The stone
Ten carats of natural amethyst, oval cut, a deep violet that flashes red and blue at the edges where the light moves through it. Look closely and you will find the internal landscape that natural quartz carries — faint colour zoning, the odd veil or needle, the quiet evidence of iron, irradiation and geological time.
These are not flaws. They are the reason a natural stone at this size exists at all, and the reason yours will never be identical to the photograph or to anyone else's. Amethyst varies from light lilac to grape from one stone to the next, so buy expecting your own shade rather than the one on screen. If the colour is not what you hoped for, it can be exchanged for another stone in your preferred shade.
The setting
Four sculpted crescent prongs cradle the amethyst rather than gripping it, leaving the girdle open so light enters from beneath and returns through the stone rather than bouncing off it. Clusters of moissanite climb both shoulders in a deliberately unruly arrangement — a court around a throne, gathered rather than marshalled.
The metal
925 sterling silver, rhodium-plated to a bright white that makes the violet look richer, not colder. Replated free, for the life of the ring.
Handcrafted in Saddar
Cast, set, filed, and finished by hand at the bench our family has worked since 1947. Three generations, one address.
Amethyst is the birthstone of February — the stone the Greeks believed kept a clear head, and the one royalty wore for centuries before the great Brazilian deposits made it something the rest of us could own.
Before you buy
- Natural means inclusions and colour zoning. A perfectly even ten-carat amethyst is rarer than it looks; expect character.
- Amethyst is 7 on the Mohs scale — hard enough for daily wear, but take it off for the gym, gardening, and anything involving a hammer.
- Colour varies stone to stone. Expect a difference from the photograph; an exchange for a preferred shade is possible within 30 days.
- Made to order, handcrafted in our own workshop — allow 10–16 business days.
- Lifetime free rhodium replating.
Care
Put it on last, after perfume and lotion. Take it off before hand sanitiser, cleaning, and swimming. Keep it out of prolonged strong sunlight — amethyst can fade over years on a sunny windowsill. Store dry. Bring it to us whenever the white dulls — we will replate it, free, for as long as you own it.
