Natural peridot (zabarjad / زبرجد) in handcrafted 925 sterling silver — the birthstone of August, and one of the few gemstones that occurs in only one colour.

Peridot is not a stone Pakistan imports. Some of the finest in the world comes out of the Sapat Gah deposit in Kohistan, at roughly 15,000 feet in the Himalaya, prized internationally for the size and clarity of its crystals. It forms deeper in the earth than almost any other gemstone, reaching the surface only through volcanic activity, and has even been found in meteorites.

Every piece is made to order in Karachi by Zanvari, third generation jewelers since 1947, with free lifetime replating.
