The design
Most halo rings stop at the halo. The Heart String Ruby keeps going: on either side of the oval, the metal opens into a loop — a teardrop of air edged in moissanite — before it narrows into the band. The loops do two things. They let light in under and around the halo, so the ring looks lighter on the hand than a solid-shouldered halo of the same size, and they give the design its name: two strings tied around a red heart. From above you see a ruby ringed in white fire; from the side you see the loops breathing.
About the ruby
Ruby is the red variety of corundum, coloured by chromium, and the birthstone of July. The stone in this ring is earth-mined and heated. Heating is how the overwhelming majority of rubies in the trade are finished — it is permanent, it does not add anything to the stone, and an unheated ruby of the same colour would cost many times more. What you see in the photograph is a representative stone: your ruby will carry its own inclusions and its own shade of red, somewhere between pink-red and crimson.
Care instructions
Ruby is hard and wears well every day. Moissanite is harder still. Keep the ring away from perfume, hairspray and household chemicals, take it off before heavy work, and wipe it with a clean, soft cloth after wear. Store it in the Zanvari box or a lined pouch. The rhodium finish is covered by our lifetime free replating.
Frequently asked questions
Is the ruby natural?
Yes — it is an earth-mined natural ruby that has been heat-treated, which is standard practice for rubies. It is not synthetic and not glass.
Are the white stones diamonds?
No. The halo and loop stones are moissanite, D/VVS1 — a brilliant white stone that is harder than any gemstone except diamond and holds its sparkle for life.
Can it be engraved?
Yes. Tell us the wording on WhatsApp after ordering. Engraved rings can be size-changed (remade as a new ring for Rs. 1,500) but cannot be swapped for a different article, returned or refunded.
Which size should I order?
