"THE MOONSTONE RING"

Named for the moonlight it holds, Mahtab centres a 2 carat natural moonstone cabochon that shifts with the light — a soft blue sheen (adularescence) drifting across a milky, translucent body. The stone is held in a four-claw prong setting and lifted on shoulders that taper into brilliant-cut moissanite, so the eye travels straight to the moon at the centre. Handcrafted by our karigars in Saddar, Karachi.

ABOUT NATURAL MOONSTONE

Moonstone is a variety of feldspar prized for adularescence — the billowy glow that appears to float just beneath the surface as the stone moves. That glow comes from light scattering between microscopic layers inside the crystal, which is also why every moonstone reads a little differently. Moonstone is the June birthstone and is traditionally associated with intuition, calm and new beginnings.
